Author: RENO, NV – A lot of Reno gathered downtown Wednesday morning to honor our veterans. It was one of the warmest Veterans Days in recent memory, and, according to the people we talked to, it brought out more people than Reno has seen in a Veterans Day parade since the one right after September 11th.
That includes participants; there were 76 entries, and observers. The city estimates more than 6,000 people lined Virginia
Street.
They included Brent Boynton, Sarah Johns, John Tyson and Auburn—all as parade announcers.
John and Auburn, by the way, are veterans.
